About Our Team

BTC has been in the HR consulting business for over 20 years. Our consultants bring a combined experience level of more than 60 years in the field of human resource management. Each of our consultants holds at least an undergraduate degree in one of the following areas:

• Business Management and Human Services • Business Administration Management • Human Resource Management
 

They have also earned the destination of certification from the Society of Human Resource Management as PHRs, SPHRs and SCP-SHRM . One of our consultants also holds a is certified as a Tribal Human Resource Management professional with certification in state, federal, and tribal employment law. All have a variety of trainer certifications from DDI, Achieve Global, Myers-Briggs, and DISc.

While we serve the needs of both private and public entities, our consultants specialize in federal contract compliance and write affirmative action plans for all of our federal contract clientele. We also focus on both state and federal employment law compliance and devote much of our HR practice to building infrastructures and handling day-to-day employee relations matters for our clients.

Industrial concentrations fall to banking, healthcare, manufacturing, retail,  profit and nonprofit organizations. Our consultants function as virtual HR professionals on and off-site in union-organized and non-union facilities.

Meeting staffing needs for all of our clients is a top priority and includes all levels of talent recruitment. While recruitment, selection, background checks, and orientations are a commonly rquested service, given the significant retirement levels that we see in baby boomer populations, we also encourage phased-in retirement and employee succession programs.

Absences are typically a symptom of an underlying problem.  Absence regardless of the reason continues to be a challenge for all organizations. Knowing the real reason for the absence and finding the right definition, whether avoidable or not, is significant to overall absentee reduction rates, as well as compliance management. Is the absence a short-term disability? Can it also fall under ADA, FMLA, or worker's compensation? Does it warrant discipline and, if so, at what level?   What action should an employer take when the FMLA time runs out and the employee is still unable to return?  These are all questions that can be answered with a phone call to our experts.
